Duties of Officers
The duties of each Executive Committee member are described below:
President
-
Assume full responsibility for all the general activities of the Association,.

Conduct all necessary correspondence with the members in regards to meetings of the Association and with the assistance of the Executive Committee, to arrange the programs.

Serve as G-REP Faculty
Secretary

Send out a monthly newsletter to GACRAO membership.

Keep an accurate list of the members of the Association
-
Review new membership applications via form submission. Setup profiles.
-
Responsible for keeping the minutes of the meetings of the Executive Committee and the minutes of all meetings of the Association and distributing the latter to the members.

Send reports and proceedings of the meeting to the chairman of the AACRAO Committee on Regional Association and will assist the Treasurer in conducting the annual meeting membership registration.

Provide information to SACRAO and AACRAO (when requested) concerning activities of GACRAO, and Revised June 25, 2015 will provide information to the website editor (when requested) for inclusion on the GACRAO website.

Responsible for maintaining the GACRAO archives.

Maintain a list of members and electronic mailing list and will coordinate the evaluation processes at the annual meeting.

Lists of members should be reviewed and audited in memberclicks

Address book of institutions and general mailing addresses for admission and registrars office should be kept on the Executive Committee email
Treasurer

Collect the membership dues, registration fees, other miscellaneous revenues, pay the bills as authorized by the President, and shall make an annual report at the annual meeting of the Association. Reimburse GACRAO staff for approved reimbursements.

Launch membership renewal July 1st

Assist the Member-at-large II & Secretary in conducting the annual meeting's membership registration.

Manage the organization's insurance

Manage the organizations tax filings

Manage the organizations ‘Quickbook’ accounts

Two‐year term of office.

Serve in an advisory capacity and shall be a member of the Executive Committee and will serve as a member of the Professional Access and Equity Committee.

Chair the Committee on Honorary Membership and Awards and the Nominations and Elections Committee.

Manage GISEM & GEM programs
-
Responsible for promoting GISEM & GEM, launching applications, reviewing applications and coordinating site visit liaisons.

Coordinate GISEM & GEM sessions at annual conferences.
-
Communicate with participants throughout the year for ‘check-ins’

Review graduation papers and communicate graduation details
-
Order graduates diplomas to hand out at annual conference

Conference Chair

Take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of the annual conference.

Responsible for all facets of the conference.

Send out the conference committee volunteer form via email to membership.

Lead the ‘conference committee.’

Coordinate with Member-at-Large I for support needs and assignments for annual conference planning and implementation
-
Meet with the President, Member-at-large I and treasurer on a regular basis for updates on conference planning.
Member-at-Large I (Conference Support)

Support the efforts of the Conference Chair and participate in the conference committee.
-
Lead local arrangements and hospitality initiatives for the conference. Coordinate volunteers through ‘conference committee.’

Selecting organization for philanthropy (donations, serving time, etc)
Member‐At‐Large II (Institution & Corporate Partnerships)
-
Promote and coordinate with corporate sponsors to determine appropriate sponsorship levels and engagement opportunities at the annual conference in line with the mission of GACRAO.

Secure signage as needed for various sponsorship levels.
-
Lead membership efforts and will coordinate with the secretary and treasurer to ensure membership renewal processes are set and running properly.

Oversee registration logistics at the annual conference. The secretary and treasurer will support the Member-At-Large II.
Member‐At‐Large III (Professional Access & Equity)
-
Responsible for developing sessions and workshops relating to access and equity issues year-round for our membership.
-
Chair the PAE committee that works to ensure that underrepresented populations have the opportunity to enhance their professional development through organizational participation.
-
Promote and review PAE scholarship applications and recipients
Member‐At‐Large IV (Professional and Membership Development)

Arrange and conduct the First Year Professionals’ Orientations at the annual meeting
-
Coordinate the Mid‐Year Workshop.
-
Look for opportunities and resources for professional development to be shared year-round with the membership.
