GACRAO Membership


Membership Benefits
GACRAO offers many benefits from professional opportunities and access to current and pertinent information on a wide range of topics. Some of the benefits include:

    1. Annual conference/meeting every October
    2. GISEM- Georgia Institute for Strategic Enrollment Management
    3. WEALTH- A mentoring program for Women and gender Equity and Access through Leadership and Training for careers in Higher Education
    4. Drive-In Mid-year workshop for support staff and other front line staff
    5. GACRAO listserv—an electronic network for information exchange
    6. GACRAO website with resources, contacts, and program announcements
    7. Directory of the Membership
    8. Opportunities to share experience, develop professional relationships, and serve in leadership roles
    9. Professionals—both colleagues and Corporate Members—who can provide advice and assistance

How to Become a Member
GACRAO membership renewal invoices are mailed in June of each year and are due by August 1st. Our fiscal year runs from July 1- June 30. Dues cannot be prorated. Dues can only be accepted in the form of a check, made payable to “GACRAO”. Electronic transfers and credit card payments cannot be processed. The GACRAO dues invoice and membership directory update form must be included with the payment. Click here to download the membership application.
Annual Dues are based on the following headcount from the previous fall:

  1. Institutional Membership Dues for enrollment of 1-999                     $50
  2. Institutional Membership Dues for enrollment of 1,000-4,999        $100
  3. Institutional Membership Dues for enrollment of 5,000 – 9,999     $150
  4. Institutional Membership Dues for enrollment of 10,000 +              $200

Membership is contingent upon approval of the GACRAO Executive Board. While GACRAO membership is institutional, there are several different within that “institutional membership.” All members are listed in the GACRAO annual directory.

Membership Categories

Active Membership
Any Administration or professional officer whose duties are concerned with admissions, registration, or records of students in any collegiate or technical institution in Georgia accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education shall be eligible for active membership and entitled to hold office in the Association.

Associate Membership
Any administrative or professional officer in any collegiate or technical institution in Georgia accredited by the Southern Association of College and Schools or the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education whose duties are not directly concerned with admissions, registration, or records of students, shall be eligible for associate membership.

Affiliate Membership
Individuals and organizations which, while non-collegiate or not in Georgia, are found to have purposes parallel with those of GACRAO and desire to participate in its (non-voting) activities may be approved for this status by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee as hereafter provided is empowered to approve all applications of affiliate membership

Honorary Membership
Individuals no longer eligible for active membership in the Association may be recommended for continued affiliation as honorary members. This honor is reserved for persons retiring or leaving the professional in Georgia who have made significant contributions to the profession and to the Association. Should honoree renter the profession such that he or she regains eligibility for active membership, the honorary status shall be deferred until honoree is again no longer eligible for active status.
